‘Marshall’ Review: A Cool Movie Every Aspiring Lawyer Should Watch
Here’s another good movie every black and aspiring lawyer should watch, Marshall, a movie with high quality and well constructed story line. Chadwick Boseman really nailed his role in this movie, and i think i will prefer his role in this movie to Black Panther, but let’s wait and what he’s got also in Black Panther when the movie is released.
Marshall movie is about Young Thurgood Marshall, who faces one of his greatest challenges while working as a lawyer for the NAACP. Marshall travels to conservative Connecticut when wealthy socialite Eleanor Strubing accuses black chauffeur Joseph Spell of sexual assault and attempted murder. He soon teams up with Sam Friedman, a local Jewish lawyer who’s never handled a criminal case. Together, the two men build a defense while contending with racist and anti-Semitic views from those who deem Spell to be guilty. The movie takes us back in time to what blacks had to go through before earning freedom, how they were treated lowly, and how law has been their greatest weapon for fighting back.
Just to let you know once and for all that, everything about this movie is cool. The 50’s old-school setting, the costume, cinematography and the music is awesome. I fully recommend this movie to you. Marshall movie reminds me of how the whites use to enslave blacks, even up till today they still have the sense of racism. Whites are treated with respect and love in the black world, but it’s not the other way round. They always feel blacks are criminals, and their justice are never tampered with mercy. I hope someday whites will come to the understanding that we are all humans of various beautiful shades, the same blood runs through our veins and we are created by God. Many thanks to a country like Canada that promotes multicultural diversity of different races, a country every peaceful and good being can call home.
