Apple has unmask the most anticipated iPhone X today during the September Keynote Event at the new Steve Jobs Theater situated in Cupertino, California. The iPhone X, which was called “iPhone ten” marks the 10th anniversary of Apple in the smartphone world. The phone is built with a 5.8 inch Super Retina OLED edge-to-edge display screen, with 2436 x 1125 resolution and 458ppi, HDR support, Dolby Vision, HDR10, and True Tone including the use of new 3D emojis called “Animojis,” utilizing the phone’s 3D sensing capabilities
The new iphone x lacks home button, which is replaced by touch-based gestures with the new iOS 11. Touch ID is also missing in the phone as the phone is unlocked by facial recognition technology.
“For more than a decade, our intention has been to create an iPhone that is all display. The iPhone X is the realization of that vision. With the introduction of iPhone ten years ago, we revolutionized the mobile phone with Multi-Touch. iPhone X marks a new era for iPhone — one in which the device disappears into the experience.”
The iPhone X is in 64GB and 256GB memory versions, starting price at $999. Pre-orders will be open October 27 and will start shipping on November 3.
