Rian Johnson has revealed the origins of the Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi title and the reason Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker is the one that received the moniker at the beginning of the film:

“It’s in the opening crawl of ‘The Force Awakens.’ Luke Skywalker, right now, is the last Jedi. There’s always wiggle room in these movies — everything is from a certain point of view — but coming into our story, he is the actual last of the Jedi. And he’s removed himself and is alone on this island, for reasons unknown.”

  1. Hoping we get answers to alot of questions!
Who is Supreme Leader Snoke? Is he Valkorian? Who is Maz Kanata? Hmm, Kanata…Rakata…any connection? Who are Rey’s parents? Is Emporer Palpatine really dead? Will Yoda it Obi-wan communicate to Rey it Like? Will Luke turn to the Dark side? Will Luke gain any new knowledge from very old books? How will episode 8 end and lead into episode 9. It should all be a wild ride!
