The DC Extended Universe(DCEU) has maintained its sovereignty from the TV shows. Ezra Miller plays Barry Allen(The Flash) in the DCEU while Grant Gustin dons the hero on the small screen at the CW verse. We’ve seen both actors take on the character. But one thing we haven’t seen is the DCEU’s take on the character’s love interest, Iris West.
No ‘The Flash‘ story is complete without Iris West. Candice Patton has played the character for 3 years on The Flash Tv Series. Kiersey Clemons is set to bring the character to life on the big screen as fans will be treated to her portrayal on the next DCEU movie, Justice League, come November 17th. Although a full dose of the character won’t be seen until the DCEU The Flash movie(The Flash: Flashpoint), which is eyeing a 2019 release date, Kiersey Clemons is making sure her take on the character is different from Candice Patton’s by avoiding to watch the show.
Speaking to CinemaBlend’s ERIC EISENBERG, she says: “When I do projects where it’s characters that have been adapted before… no. I will let it affect me. Actually, I lied. I saw a little bit of it before I did Justice League. But now it’s like, ‘Oh no, no, no.’ Because I’ll pull from it! I’ll be like, ‘I want to do that. No, I don’t want to do that.’ No, no, no.”
Kiersey Clemons last big movie was Dope(2015). You can catch her on her latest movie ‘The Only Living Boy In New York’ co-starring Jeff Bridges, Kate Beckinsale, Pierce Brosnan and Cynthia Nixon on August 11.
